In the mid-2010s, it seemed like the delta 3D printer layout was gaining serious traction. Delta kinematics are extremely fast and compared to typical rectilinear printer, like the ubiquitous Prusa i3 design, the difference was night and day.
But now that coreXY has become the de facto layout for fast printing, we have to ask ourselves: are delta 3D printers still relevant?
That’s certainly the first question that popped into my head when FLSUN reached out to me and asked if I was interested in trying out their new T1 delta 3D printer. To find out, I conducted a few little races and you can see those (along with my conclusions) in my most recent YouTube video:
